“Mr. Wolfowitz placed his own personal interests in opposition to the interests of the institution”

— is one finding of the World Bank investigative committee looking into the Wolfowitz crisis at the development institution. It also calls on the WB’s executive commitee to assess:

“whether Mr. Wolfowitz will be able to provide the leadership needed to ensure that the bank continues to operate to the fullest extent possible.”

Surely this is the end for Wolfowitz….and as my colleague Asma noted Tony Blair is heading to Washington tomorrow!
