Recently I wrote about Des Moines Register politcal columnist David Yepsen, who is a must read for politcal junkies. He is so well respected, that presidential candidates often feel the need to “pay homage at Mount Yepsen.”
Another key source for political junkies — we can never get enough–is “Rasmussen Reports.” It is filled with polling data, often quite realiable, along with analysis of the polling. However, the poll that caught my eye last night (while watching Justin Verlander toss a no-hitter for my beloved Detroit Tigers) was not about who was leading who in the race for the White House.
Nope.
It was this bombshell of data :
Pop diva Britney Spears and “The Simple Life star Paris are both viewed unfavorably by 71% of American adults.
Oh to be a fly on the wall of the Oval Office as Karl Rove presents various polling information to President Bush. You can imagine this sort of spin:
“Well, your unfavorable rating is still a bit high at 62 percent, but you’re doing better than Paris and Britney.”
