Unraveled - Session 2 event

The World Citizen Book Club continued its discussion of Unraveled: A Personal Journey into Conflict, War, and Diplomacy by Dr. Emma Osong in this second and concluding session. Participants engaged in a Q&A with the author, exploring the book’s themes of peacebuilding, personal resilience, and the parallels between individual and national struggles.

About the Book

Unraveled provides a blueprint for promoting peace and justice amid times of war. When author Emma Osong’s daughter Praxie was told she would never walk again, Osong drew comparisons between her daughter’s struggle and the plight of her war-ravaged country of origin, Cameroon. The book interweaves the history of a country trapped in decades of tyranny with threads of deeply personal conflict, offering insights into how individuals and nations can find paths toward healing and justice.

Dr. Emma Osong is the founder of Women for Permanent Peace and Justice (WPPJ). She has built an extensive career spanning aerospace systems engineering, peacebuilding, and leadership.
