The ImPACT Coalition on Just Institutions and the International Court of Justice held its second session, timed for participants in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. This session continued the coalition’s work to promote the role, effectiveness, and jurisdiction of international courts and tribunals in the lead-up to and beyond the UN Summit of the Future in September 2024.

The ImPACT Coalition was established at the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference in Nairobi to support the universality and effectiveness of global judicial architecture. It builds on the Legal Alternatives to War (LAW not War) campaign, a global initiative co-led by Citizens for Global Solutions to increase the universality and effectiveness of the International Court of Justice. This session was part of a broader effort to advance key judicial reform initiatives through multilateral engagement.
