Unraveled: A Personal Journey into Conflict, War, and Diplomacy (Session 1)

The World Citizen Book Club launched its reading of Unraveled: A Personal Journey into Conflict, War, and Diplomacy by Dr. Emma Osong in this opening session. Participants had the opportunity to meet the author and begin exploring her powerful memoir connecting personal adversity with the broader struggles of conflict-affected communities.
About the Book
Unraveled provides a blueprint for promoting peace and justice amid times of war. When author Emma Osong’s daughter Praxie was told she would never walk again, Osong drew comparisons between her daughter’s struggle and the plight of her war-ravaged country of origin, Cameroon. Detailing the events in Cameroon and the struggles of its people trapped in decades of tyranny, Osong interweaves the history of a war-torn country with threads of deeply personal conflict, offering insights into resilience and the pursuit of justice.
