Advocating Toward Tomorrow’s Governed World: The First Exploratory Summit for CGS’s Action Network

Citizens for Global Solutions convened its first Exploratory Summit to examine challenges, opportunities, and strategies for advocating for the foundational principles of democratic world governance. The summit brought together subject matter experts and leading activists to inform concrete action by CGS’s Action Network in pursuit of a governed world capable of addressing violations of international law, environmental degradation, and escalating armament.

Event Description

For more than 75 years, CGS has dedicated itself to the vision of a united planet guided by democratic governance. Recognizing that the present moment demands new solutions—as challenges of global health, environmental degradation, and illegal aggression cross all borders—CGS convened this interactive dialogue to help current and future Action Network members identify priorities and strategies for advocacy. The summit invited subject matter experts and leading activists dedicated to CGS’s core causes to share perspectives on contemporary means and methods for advancing world federation. Participants engaged in discussion with thought leaders and were invited to join CGS’s ongoing action efforts following the event. The summit addressed the fundamental question of how world federation could provide the necessary framework for effective international cooperation, while charting practical steps and pathways toward that ultimate goal.
