2026 CGS Annual Meeting

Citizens for Global Solutions invites members to our 2026 Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. Over three days, we’ll come together for advocacy, strategic planning, and community building in support of democratic global governance.
The meeting brings together board members, chapter leaders, youth program participants, partners, and advocates from across our network. Whether you’ve been part of CGS for years or recently joined, this is an opportunity to connect in person, contribute to organizational strategy, and help shape the road ahead.
Meeting Highlights
Capitol Hill Advocacy (Friday morning) — Optional in-person lobbying sessions with Congressional offices, open to participants of all experience levels. The CGS team will coordinate meetings and prepare attendees in advance.
Welcome Lunch & Interviews (Friday early afternoon) — A welcome address from CGS President Larry Husick, with lunch and informal conversations with attendees.
Strategic Planning Sessions (Friday & Saturday) — A two-part facilitated session on CGS’s organizational strategy, spanning Friday and Saturday afternoons.
Collaborative Workshops (Friday–Saturday) — A Friday brainstorming session on fundraising and membership growth channels, plus a Saturday morning collaborative discussion on scaling CGS programs.
Norman Cousins Lecture (Saturday morning) — Our annual keynote address honoring the legacy of Norman Cousins, delivered this year by CGS National Advisory Council member Laila Sadat.
Youth Program Track (Saturday morning) — A speed-networking session connecting youth participants with board members and staff, followed by a collaborative brainstorm on scaling CGS’s youth programs.
Board Meeting & Team Building (Saturday afternoon–Sunday) — Dedicated time for governance, board development, and strengthening relationships across the organization.
Community & Social Time — A casual social gathering on Thursday evening (May 14) for early arrivals, a Friday afternoon happy hour featuring awards and visiting partners, and optional aperitivo outings on Friday and Saturday evenings.
A hybrid option will be available for members who cannot attend in person.
