Director of Marketing and Communications
Citizens for Global Solutions is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Marketing and Communications in its Washington, D.C. headquarters.
The Director of Marketing and Communications is a new position created to help lead the organization in its initiative to launch a ground breaking online movement for Americans who support responsible and cooperative U.S. foreign policy. The Director will report to the President and be substantially responsible for the development and implementation of a plan for marketing including web-based and print marketing, to expand the online membership movement that we are calling GlobalSolutions.org. The Director will oversee social media strategy and keep up with trends and current events. He/She will obtain external information and communicate to Teams and post website, create outbound communications with public/media, serve as the organization's chief public relations officer.
The Director of Marketing and Communications will direct a staff of three and supervise the creation of materials such as fact sheets, brochures, advertising, organization newsletter, and all outbound promotions. He/She will create, develop and maintain relationships with the media. He/She will develop a successful framing and messaging platform for all GlobalSolutions.org communications. The Director of Marketing and Communications will be a member of the senior staff team and will coordinate all strategy with the Director of Development and Director of Membership and Campaigns.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of demonstrated success in public relations, online communications and social media. Experience with Salsa software will be helpful. We are looking for candidates who are organized and disciplined, possess good verbal and written communication skills, and can operate independently to complete tasks and solve problems. As a relatively small organization, we are seeking candidates who are collegial, collaborative and able to handle multiple tasks and spontaneous demands. An annual salary of $77,000, commensurate with experience, and generous benefits (health, vacation, etc.) are offered.

Director of Campaigns
Citizens for Global Solutions is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Campaigns in its Washington, D.C. headquarters.
Citizens for Global Solutions is entering an exciting new chapter in its history in which we will emphasize the development of an online movement for Americans who want the United States to take a responsible and cooperative role in the world. We are calling this new initiative “GlobalSolutions.org,” and it will require a renewed and creative focus on membership, issue campaigns, social media, messaging, communications and marketing.
We are seeking to fill a new position of Director of Campaigns in our Washington, D.C. headquarters with someone who will get in on the “ground floor” and lead the successful launch and growth of this online movement. The Director of Campaigns will report to the President and be substantially responsible for the development and implementation of a plan to build GlobalSolutions.org as an online membership movement. The Director of Campaigns will oversee communications with current members and chapters across the country and oversee the selection and production of campaigns. He/she will use outbound communications materials, translating information and policy positions into successful campaigns.
The Director of Campaigns will supervise strategic and tactical campaign development and monitoring from beginning to conclusion. Supervising a team of four, he/she will oversee the Global Solutions Political Action Committee and the Advisory Group devoted to communications and membership feedback loops. Responsibilities include online strategies and tactics to significantly grow the membership of GlobalSolutions.org. The Director of Campaigns will be a member of the senior staff team and will coordinate all strategy with the Director of Development and Director of Marketing and Communications.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of demonstrated success in online membership building, campaign supervision, and previous experience with an online movement driven organization. Experience with Salsa software will be helpful. Development Manager
Citizens for Global Solutions is seeking candidates for the position of Development Manager in its Washington, D.C. headquarters.
The Development Manager will report to the Director of Development and be responsible for performing organizational development functions including: supervising the donor acknowledgement process, supervising the donation acceptance process, donor/prospect research, reporting, grant writing, donor engagement, working with donor database and assisting with online and social media fundraising.
The Development Manager will support the Director of Development in a range of activities. He/She will assist in developing and improving development policies and procedures and will play a vital role in the newly adopted organizational strategic plan. He/She will play a major role assisting with fundraising events and will be responsible for a variety of projects that involve conducting analysis and making recommendations.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in the Development field. Experience with "Salsa" database systems will be helpful. We are looking for candidates who are organized and disciplined, possess good verbal and written communication skills, and can operate independently to complete tasks and solve problems. Office Manager
Citizens for Global Solutions is seeking candidates for the position of Office Manager in its Washington, D.C. headquarters.
The Office Manager will report to the President and be responsible for supervising all office administration functions, including compliance, banking, budgets and financial reports. He/She will oversee building management, office systems, and human resources, including benefits and payroll.
The Office Manager will support the President in a range of activities. He/She will be responsible for the maintenance of the organizational networks, information technology, and internal communications. The Office Manager will assist in developing and improving office policies and procedures and will supervise vendors and outside contractors. In addition the Office Manager will be responsible for a variety of projects that involve conducting analysis and making recommendations.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of demonstrated supervision in organization management. Experience with QuickBooks software will be valuable. We are looking for candidates who are organized and disciplined, possess good verbal and written communication skills, and can operate independently to complete tasks and solve problems.
