Citizens for Global Solutions is already on the record calling for the Security Council to sponsor a special investigation into the death of Benazir Bhutto. On Wednesday, Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), who was in Pakistan with Rep. Patrick Kennedy when Bhutto was assassinated, sent a letter to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon urging “…the United Nations, either alone or in conjunction with the Musharraf government of Pakistan, to appoint an investigating commission.” I applaud Specter for writing the Secretary-General, but by asking for either the FBI or Scotland Yard to “undertake an investigation under the name of the United Nations”, Specter calls for the wrong play. Dear Sir,
I am sorry for responding too late to your positive feedback by recommending ng my services for what I had highlighted/voiced my concernes in my press statements against the undemocratic and unconstitutional measures taken by the puppet president Pervez Musharraf, aimed at bringing them to notice of the American citizens, requesting them to put pressure on him to quit his stubborn attitude against his own people for his vested interests, in addion to crushing judiciary by deposing the constitutional chief justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry plus imposing curbs on the freedom of press under the so-called PEMRA Ordinance. My services would always be at the disposal of Citizen for Global Solution to utilise them for the betterment of the both countries, America and Pak- tan. Last but not least, as for PPP chairperson, late Benazir Bhutto's assassi- nation, you have recommended my services to assist the international team of investigation which is underconsideration...I am willing to take up the assignment, no matter what happens. I am eagerly looking forward to your kind response. And once again I am grateful to your friendly response. With best regards, Muhammad Yaqoob Khan Advocate President District Bar Assocation NWFP Pakistan Cell: 0092 345 9859757 & 300 9065904 Leave a comment:
