Citizens Ultimately Decide
The Next Genertion
Model UN organizations around the country teach young people how the UN works. They engage in authentic simulation of the UN system and allow students to practice the skills of debate, compromise, conflict resolution and negotiation. CGS, together with the Workable World Trust and Model UN Development Organization, is supporting Model UN Conferences that introduce UN reform. The first program was organized by Mexico City International Model United Nations (MIMUN) and introduced the idea of weighted voting in the General Assembly. In March 2019, a second program introduced the idea of Regional Representation in the Security Council. The five modules used for this very successful program are available here at no charge.
