CGS Social Media Coordinator
Citizens for Global Solutions (CGS) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan membership-based organization that for more than 75 years has brought together a diverse collective of individuals and organizations. We are a member-driven movement with the common goal of a democratic world federation predicated upon peace, human rights, and the rule of law. We are incorporated as a 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4).
We seek a talented Social Media Coordinator to create and maintain a strong online presence for our organization to implement campaigns and strategies through social media accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Director of Programs and Executive Director, maintain responsibility for creating relevant accurate content for social media platforms that reflects CGS’s mission and values;
- Developing engaging text, image and video content for CGS’s website and blog;
- Monitoring & evaluating social media metrics to improve social media outreach;
- Supporting events and membership outreach as agreed with the Director of Programs and Executive Director; and
- Creating and editing newsletter content.
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience managing (posting) content on social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
- Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
- Capacity to work well independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and high level of professionalism
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite, Google applications; experience with Canva and/or Publisher a plus
- Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, new media or relevant field preferred
