Lesa Thomas is the Assistant Director of Development at Citizens for Global Solutions. Lesa came to Citizens for Global Solutions as an intern in Membership and Outreach. She brings experience in organization and nonprofit management from serving as an Americorps Volunteer Manager in 2009 in Columbus, IN. During her term of service Lesa recruited, trained, and placed adult volunteers in elementary schools to help children reach their full potential. Lesa earned her Bachelor's degree in International Affairs from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. She earned her Master's degree from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University with a specialization in Conflict and Conflict Resolution.

Established by treaty in 2002 in response to the mass atrocities that stained the late 20th century, the International Criminal Court (the ICC) is the first permanent international criminal court created to seek justice for victims of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity. However, the Court is not supported by a police force or other enforcement arm and faces major obstacles in pursuing its mission from nations that did not join the treaty.
