Human rights are those rights which are held by all human beings equally. We strive to end all forms of violence against men, women and children throughout the world.

CEDAW, the Women’s Treaty, is an international agreement that strives to combat violence against and empower women and girls. The United States is one of 7 countries yet to ratify.

Gender based violence is a widespread and serious global problem. Governments must work to establish infrastructure to combat violence against women.

The Council is at times a controversial international human rights body. Recent U.S. involvement has positively influenced the direction this important Council.

The US and Somalia are the only countries in the world that have not signed nor ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. We are working to change this.
