Issues
Connecting Global to Local has chosen to focus on three global issues with a local impact: climate change, avian flu, and nuclear material and weapons. While these are only three global issues requiring local solutions, they are important ones. Find out more about these issues and how they affect your community. And start thinking about other global issues, their local impacts, and how engaged citizens can create solutions.
- Climate Change With the help of the Urban Environmental Accords, climate change can be combated.
- Avian Flu A public health threat could affect us all. But preparedness can begin locally.
- Nuclear Material and Weapons Nuclear material is both a danger and a resource for our communities. Find out more.
