CGS Political Action Committee (PAC)
Global Solutions PAC: 2012 Election Cycle
Citizens for Global Solutions has kicked off the 2012 campaign season by endorsing several outstanding legislators for re-election, as well as a number of promising challengers. So far, the Global Solutions PAC has endorsed Senators Bill Nelson of Florida, Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Ben Cardin of Maryland, Dianne Feinstein of California, and a number of other outstanding Senators due to their excellent record of championing CGS issues, including strong UN funding, genocide prevention, and ratification of key treaties. In the House of Representatives, we have endorsed incumbents including Reps. Howard Berman, Lois Capps, and John Garimendi of California, Jim McGovern of Massachusetts, and Gerry Connolly of Virginia, as well as other outstanding Representatives. We hope to see all these lawmakers re-elected in 2012.
Global Solutions PAC has also endorsed several promising challengers running for new offices. These include Rep. Martin Heinrich, who is running for the Senate seat in New Mexico; former Governor Tim Kaine, who is running for Virginia’s Senate seat; Annie Kuster, running in New Hampshire’s 2nd district; Eric Griego, running in New Mexico’s 1st district; and CGS member Jerry Tetalman, who is running in California’s 49th district. We look forward to welcoming them to Congress next year.

Our Congressional Report Card
Citizens for Global Solutions publishes the Congressional Report Card allowing you to see how your Senators and Representatives voted on legislation that affects the United Nations, the proliferation of nuclear weapons, the global environment, global health, and other international issues and institutions.
You can identify your elected officials, and get information on their voting record on international issues, by selecting your state.
Our Congressional Candidate Questionnaire
The CGS Candidate Questionnaire (CQ) is a valuable tool for learning what positions Congressional candidates take on issues ranging from peacekeeping and genocide prevention to nuclear nonproliferation. The questionnaire responses are used by the Global Solutions PAC committee to evaluate candidates for endorsement and/or a campaign contribution.

Take Action:
You can help! We are asking CGS members and anyone else interested to help us out and send candidates in their state and district our questionnaire -- candidates are more likely send in their questionnaire if their own constituents are the ones asking for a response.
- Check if the candidates for your area (Senate or House) have already returned the Candidate Questionnaire.
- If they haven't, download the Candidate Questionnaire -- or -- copy this link to the electronic version: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LLC3VC7
- Email or snail mail the Questionnaire to the candidates in your area. Candidate addresses and contact info can be found here

From the CEO...

"I cannot tell you how amazing it is to give a candidate a contribution because of their work on international issues. They never get money because of what they do globally. They don't realize that their constituents care about these issues. I can tell you that we get their attention.”
~ Don Kraus, CEO
