Donald Kraus previously served as the organization's Executive Vice-President where he directed its Government Relations Department and Political Action Committee. Prior to that he served as the Executive Director of the Campaign for United Nations Reform and its affiliated political action committee, CUNR PAC. An expert in building U.S. political support for the U.N. and other international institutions, Don brings his considerable enthusiasm and drive to advocating for responsible global policies.

Don currently co-chairs three NGO working groups: the Partnership for Effective Peacekeeping (PEP), the Washington Working Group on the International Criminal Court (WICC), and the CEDAW (womens rights treaty) tast force. He also plays a lead role in the Law of the Sea Working Group, a broad group of organizations and trade associations focused on U.S. ratification of the convention.

Don compiles the Global Solution Report Card, an annual assessment of congressional voting records. He has been quoted in the New York Times, the Washington Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, and many other publications. He has been interviewed on CNN, BBC, NPR, and many other radio and TV shows.

Don is also a past president emeritus of the Center for UN Reform Education, a UN reform think tank. He currently serves on the advisory board of the United Nations Association, National Capitol Area.

He lives in Alexandria, Virgina on land once owned by George Washington, with his wife Hope Warshaw and their daughter Hilary.

Robert A. Enholm joined Citizens for Global Solutions as its Executive Vice President in August 2008. He brings to this project his organizational and legal skills and his experience working with nonprofit organizations. In 2006 he served at the United Nations as the Chief of the Central Emergency Response Fund Secretariat, helping to establish a new $500 million emergency humanitarian relief fund that was part of the U.N. reforms undertaken by Secretary-General Kofi Annan. He was a corporate lawyer for 25 years, elected to partnership in two different national firms and serving as general counsel of two companies. He has been admitted to practice law in California, New York and Georgia. He was also the founding principal of Candle Spark Strategies, providing advice to nonprofit organizations regarding their use of emerging Internet technologies. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and History from the University of California at Davis and his law degree from Berkeley.

Ariela Blätter comes to us from Amnesty International (AI) where she most recently, served as the Senior Director for International Programs.  During her seven year tenure at AI she also served as Deputy Managing Director for Government Relations and as the Director of the Conflict Prevention and Response Center.  Ariela comes from an extensive advocacy and law background—she is an international human rights lawyer that has served as a lobbyist at the State, Congressional and at the international level.  Most notably, she served as a permanent representative to the UN on the establishment of the International Criminal Court, overseeing a team of NGO’s lobbyists and policy staff. Additionally, she was an international affairs advocate for the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, where she gained significant experience lobbying members of the State House and US Congress on foreign policy.

Anu Joshi is the National Outreach Coordinator of Citizens for Global Solutions. Anu manages and supports chapter activity and stimulates political will and activism in organization members.  In addition, Anu will be managing and supporting the newly created Network for Responsible Global Policy.  

Anu is a native Californian and spent 6 years at the University of California, Berkeley earning her undergraduate degree in Political Science and her Masters Degree in Social Welfare.  While at Berkeley Anu was active in student government and community organizing.  She was the Chair of the “No on Proposition 54” Statewide coalition and served as President of the UC Student Association representing 200,000 students to the Legislature, Governor, media and UC Regents.  After receiving her Masters in Social Welfare, Anu worked as a Child Welfare Worker in the San Francisco Bay Area for 2 years.  In July of 2008 Anu quit her job, packed up her car and drove from California to rural North Florida to work as a Field Organizer for the Barack Obama Campaign.   Anu loves television, is committed to a life of social justice and misses the sandy beaches and warm weather of Southern California.

Daniel Watson is the Manager of Information Technology for Citizens for Global Solutions. He
has worked in the IT profession for 4 years specializing in information networking, social
networking, website architecture and content management platforms and systems. Daniel
also has specialized training in electronics and database technology. His other professional
affiliations include freelance and consulting work with multiple organizations both in the
commercial and NGO worlds specifically on the Drupal CMS. He hails from Kalamazoo,
Michigan and holds a degree in Computer Science

Lesa Thomas is the Development Coordinator at Citizens for Global Solutions. Lesa came to Citizens for Global Solutions as an intern in Membership and Outreach.  She brings experience in organization and nonprofit management from serving as an Americorps Volunteer Manager in 2009 in Columbus, IN.  During her term of service Lesa recruited, trained, and placed adult volunteers in elementary schools to help children reach their full potential.  Lesa earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.  She is currently working on her Master’s degree from the Elliott School of International Affairs where she is concentrating in Conflict and Conflict Resolution.

Valerie Schrock is the Creative Director at Citizens for Global Solutions. She has professional expertise in the fields of Internet marketing, graphic design, web platform architecture, flash media & animation, video production, social networking, and crowd sourcing. She has 7 years professional experience in team building and organizational management. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Masters Degree in International Relations.

Gabriela Campos is the Office Coordinator at Citizens for Global Solutions. She brings experience in non-profit work with research, communications, and administrative support. Gabriela earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Miami with a double major in journalism and international affairs.
